Video card problem help me....?

why my video card geforce 5500 is no display when i plug in to my motherboard p5pe-vm? but in the other hand the onboard video is still there. is my geforce fx 5500 already bad? can anybody help this problem.. tnx|||check your motherboard with another video card......you will find problem your video card is damage or your motherboard....|||your card might be dead...
