Vista to xp video card problems

my computer came with vista and i didnt like it so i downgraded to xp,anyway im a big gammer and for some reason xp isnt picking up the card that makes my sims 2 game play.sims 1 plays fine but it says something about directx 9 adapters when i try playing sims 2.i have downloaded the drivers but its not finding my video card|||Check for the below in your computer



1. If ti is compatibility for Vista then you can't find drivers for Win XP|||Make sure you have drivers for XP. You can install the drivers manually. Go to Device Manager uninstall your video card. Restart windows. When it boots up again a pop windows will appear saying it recognizes a device and if you have the driver for it. Follow directions to install..|||Have you tried downloading DirectX 9?

Else, what video card / motherboard do you have and where did you get the drivers?|||Update Directx 9.
