I have a Nvidia GeForce 9500GT Video Card. It for the past months, it has worked on many games like Left 4 Dead and such. Now, after a Team Fortress 2 Game, the graphics all screwed up for some reason and the PC shut down.
Everytime I reboot, it only shows the windows logo then just reboots all over again. I tried disabling the the video card on safe mode and the PC starts up just fine. But once I enable the video card on the device manager again, the PC would restart.
Should I try reinstalling the drivers? or my video card is already f*cked up?|||Hi, its your driver, if possible find a free graphics driver removal tool to thoroughly remove your old drivers.
Get the latest driver from Nvidia and after rebooting install the new driver.
All should be good.
It will most definitely be the driver and not the card.
Goodluck
p.s. I read your additional info.
Your old driver most likely wont fix it as the process will just restart.
That is why you must try the latest driver, and you must ensure your old one is definitely removed first. There is a free graphics driver removal tool, http://www.guru3d.com/category/driverswe…
It is unlikely to be you PSU as its ok in Safe Mode and it has problems on reboot before you use game, and driver issues are renowned for causing this type of problem.|||sd|||1. is the PSU rated to run the card and the system?
2. does the PSU have the right connectors to power the card?
3. are all the power connectors plugged in?
4. what is the temp of the card at idle and at load?
5. did you uninstall all the old drivers from the previous card?|||If it boots in safe mode with the same card then your card is just fine. Reinstalling the driver wouldn't hurt, better if it's the latest drivers. Get them from nvidia website.
