Can someone please tell me how to check and see if my video card went out. It has been replaced before and is showing some of the previous signs, but I need to know how to tell if it has gone out.|||go to your start menu and click "Run"
----> if you have windows Vista or Windows 7, you will need to hold down your windows key and press R to get the 'run window'
Once you have the 'run' window, type --> "dxdiag"
this will open up a diagnostic tool that will tell you information about your video card and other stuff.
Click the Video tab
If you see detailed information about your video card, such as specs, brand name, etc.... then your video card is in-tact. Also, there is a button that will test the functionality of your video card and tell you if there are any problems with it.|||If your computer has built in graphics, i would try using those to see if they still work. If not and you have another computer, try installing the card on that computer and see if it works on it. If it doesnt then you know it's bad. If your on board graphics work, you will also know the card is bad.|||Right click "My Computer" and choose "Properties", click on the "Hardware tab" then the "Device Manager" button.
Click the + sign by "display adapter" and it should list your video card.
