I bought a new motherboard Asus P5E-VM HDMI and my video card wont install drivers on it, but the computer still sees that its there, i had an Asus P5NSLI and the card worked perfectly with it, So i put in my old video card which is Geforce 7600GS in the new motherboard and it works fine but why doesnt my geforce 9600GSO doesnt work on the new motherboard can it be that the integrated graphics wont let it? idk how to disable the graphics can someone please help me, i tried calling asus but they are closed right now, what can be causing the problem, when i install the 9600gso and the comp restarts after driver installation it starts with horrible graphics ( lowest 4bit ) and i cant do anything, i tried resetting bios to default but nothing works. it cant be that the motherboard is bad because it works with my older video card even though this motherboard is newer then my old one and my video card works with my older asus motherboard so its not a problem with the video card itself.
New video card- XFX Geforce 9600GSO
Old video card- XFX Geforce 7600GS
New motherboard- Asus P5E-VM HDMI

Any help would be appreciated.|||The first thing you need to do is take the 9600 out. Then boot the system back up and go to the add/remove programs and remove all the nvidia drivers. Then shutdown the computer and insert the card. Reboot the system with the monitor plugged into the onboard until you go into bios and select onboard vga off. Then you might have to restart the computer and plug it back into the card. Now you are ready to go to the nvidia website and download the latest 9600 drivers. After you install the drivers and reboot, your system will be set...|||Have you tried to download the latest drivers from Nvidia and then tried? Here is the link

Games lagging. video card problem? - Hi! i have a concerning question.?
when i play games they lag alot?
i play games like ijji's soldier front and need for speed most wanted i lag briefly. its choppy and a little slow. when i play games like wc3 i dont lagg. please help

Judging by the DX9, your GPU is probably bad too. It is probably your card. Upgrade it to a 9800GT and you will see the lag go away.

Video card problem, don't know where to plug SPDIF-pin and GND-pin on motherboard?
I bought a Nvidia gt9400gt md512 video card from newegg.com. Initially I was told I did not need to hook up the little cable that came with it. I've been a little bit dissapointed in the performance of the card so upon troubleshooting the problem, I read that I DO need to hook up the little orange and black wires. The instructions state under "Enabling HDMI output" "Use the compliant SPDIF internal cable to connect both the SPDIF connectors on the VGA Card to your mainboard. Make sure to (1) plug the orange cable into the SPDIF-pin and the black one th the GND-pin on the mainboard: and (2) plug the other end into the VGA card...............". It goes on to say that if you plug it into the wrong spot on the mainboard you can ruin the card. I can not find where on the motherboard I need to connect these two wires to. I've been all over google and Dell and can't find anything. The computer is a Dell Optiplex GX280. According to belarc, the motherboard is made by Dell, and is a 0G8310. I really could use some help on this. If your 300W power supply unit (PSU) has a strong +12V rail (>15 amps) and you do not have any additional peripherals there, the video card may work. BUT then you could be running that PSU HOT at full load (esp. the +12V rail).
It would be better to get a higher rated PSU. Dual +12V rail would be best. Do not just rely on minimum PSU recommendation so that you do not run at or near full load. Get a bigger PSU. It runs cooler, lasts longer and leaves you w/ elbow room for future upgrades|||Yeah they usually rate pretty conservative on that one...they have to assume you have multiple hard drives, fans, and other peripherals running at the same time. It also matters if it is a quality power supply , some over the counter ones are much more stable at a lower rating then a bargain bin one.
I have actually done this myself with no problems at all but if it suddenly turns off and reboots on its own in the middle of a game then you will have to upgrade.

Video Card Problem?
recently my video card has begun to 'paint' little pink/red pixels all over my screen. However only on my desktop or taskbar. If i right click on the desktop and hit refresh they will disappear momentarily before coming back.

Graphic Card or video card problem idk, help me !!?
Hi peeps, I'm not that smart when it comes to computers, so this was my last option. I reinstalled Windows 7, and apparently I lost my driver installation for my graphic card, and since then my PC works like ****, I can't even play Windows Games without lagging. I already checked on "Display Adapters" or whatever, it says that I have "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". First time after reinstallation, I saw that I can't put my screen resolution to 1900 x 1200, the highest is 1400 x 1050, so you know...here you go what it says when I try to open a Windows Game

"A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid."
I checked it and its enabled, so Idk what should I do !
I need a update for my video card, but my internet is too goddamn slow, it's so slow that when I open Google.com it takes almost 30 secs to load. So please give me a link where I can download a update because I can't waste my internet on false stuff.
Also it says for my graphic card: "1. LG W2340(HDMI) on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"
