Failed to find suitable display device? Video card problems?

Okay so I got a new hard drive installed about 2 years ago because the old one broke. I recently tried to start a few of my games but they all wont run with a message saying or similar to "Failed to Find a Suitable display device" they all worked before the new hard drive just fine. I think that its An Asus. How can I fix this? I can't really buy something unless completely necessary.|||Download the drivers for it -.-

If you have an Asus computer, and you are still using the OEM video card (if you didn't buy your own, basically), then go to asus.com, support>download>drivers or something. Then select your product, okay, then scroll down to video, and download the latest driver there.|||Solution:

1). check your graphics chip-set driver. Make sure that the latest & correct driver is installed. Refer to your ASUS user manual. If manual is not available, then visit ASUS web-page and download the specific driver(s). Then install them by following the given instructions.

2). If using Windows XP, Vista or Win 7, open device manager and check to see if there are any hardware conflicts/messages associated with the video card.

3). Check to see if the games you play are free of errors or viruses.

4). Clean-up any junk in your primary hard drive(s), by using disk clean-up from START then ACCESSORIES and then SYSTEM TOOLS.

5). Restart your computer after these changes and then reload your games.

If the problem persists, your system may have a deadly virus, so using a trusted anti-virus program such as AVAST free anti-virus, McAfee Internet Security, Symantec Anti-virus, AVG Internet Security, scan your ENTIRE computer (while not leaving any open programs to run). Scan and remove any viruses/worms/adware/malware/trojan found. The restart your system. Load windows and then load your games and begin your game time.

Hope this helps.
