Minecraft Video card problem?
When i want to play Minecraft it says i have a bad video card. When i try updating it, my computer says its as best as it can be. Is there a way I can play without buying a new one?|||This is a common problem I believe. Many have solved it by changing Hardware Acceleration to a lower setting. My Current Computer Setup:
Windows XP Professional SP2
Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz Processor
512 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT OC
Problem:
I upgraded from a Nvidia 5500 FX OC, and there is no noticeable difference in the games I play. I usually play counter strike cz and I started playing source and decided to get the 7800 to get better FPS and less lag. With my old card i was gettin around 25 FPS max in counter strike source. With my new one i was expecting to get a little more maybe around 40 or 50 but im still maxing out at 25 FPS and when I run into a bunch of people at once in gameplay it will even go down to 10 FPS sometimes which results in alot of lag. What makes me mad is that I paid $370 for the 7800 and there is no difference. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem. Do you think there is something wrong with my computer, or is the videocard defective.|||You may need a BIOS upgrade to your PC or firmware upgrade or driver upgrade to/for the card or it may be the Celeron processor. Notice on the Nvidia box what the minimum hardware requirements are to see if it says specifically Pentium or Celeron or that either is okay. Also, likely you aren't the only one this is happening to so I would post this problem in the Nvidia technical support forum with all of your information. It's possible there is some type of fix for it if it's a known issue. Good Luck!|||It's most likely defective I had the same problem when I got a Geforce 7800. So we sent it back and got a different one same type of card though and what do you know it worked.|||I would make some recommendations.
Make sure you have the latest drivers for your card. I am assuming you downloaded the most current ones.
The most common problem with graphics performance in Source is processor speed.
I would recommened upgrading your RAM to at least 1GB

Video card problems. Pixels not showing. Can you help?
Okay so I bought this Nvidia GeForce 6200 Video card about a year ago. I installed the drivers and installed the item into my computer. I booted it up and everything seemed fine. I went back the next morning and booted it up. When I opened a Window or went to Google some pixels would not show. They are just little black or white spots where the colors should be. They same spots are not in the same place every time I open the window or go to a website. I have tried updating, uninstalling, reinstalling, different drivers and anything I could think of. I have tried switching the monitors out from the one that I have but it did not seem to work. I went through about 20 different monitors. I am stumped... I have tried everything... If someone could help that would be great.|||20 monitors? thats insane. with that much money you could have bought like 30 new video cards
I suggest making sure #1 it's seated correctly on the motherboard, maybe try carefully re-seating it, getting all dust etc out
#2 doing the driver updates as soon as you get the internet going, go to nvidia, find your card exactly, and manually install the drivers
#3 check your nvidia card settings, there may be something off... could be anything? make sure refresh rate is ok, color, etc... try less or more of each and see if that helps
#4 if you still are stumped i bet it is your videocard, it is a year old, and well outdated
Mine is a couple years old and is an 8800 geforce card, it's working great none the less, but i can't imagine using a 6 series card right now maybe a 6800 or something, but not for anything more than youtube. definitely not games etc.
you could always buy a cheap 6800 or 7600 card or better on ebay or www.newegg.com

2nd number, the 2 in your case, is the model and performance of the card of that series, low numbers of coarse being lower performance than higher numbers

Call of Duty 4 Video Card Problems?
It says "this video card doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data." What the heck does that mean and are there any drivers or stuff like that to help out? It's a dell mobile 965 express chipset family with 385mb memory driver version 7.14.0010.1253|||It means your video card doesn't support the graphics used in CoD4.
The minimum requirements of CoD4 is a 7900 GT (a dedicated card or equivalent). Your video card is integrated, not dedicated, and isn't powerful enough to handle CoD4. Drivers won't really help either.

Laptop Video Card Problems?
Okay So I just got my laptop fixed and vista reinstalled but now whenever I try and go into windows movie maker or something like that it says: "Windows Movie Maker cannot start because your video card does not support the required level of hardware acceleration or hardware acceleration is not availible." New video card problems?
hi all just bought a His radeon Ati 256mb ddr dvi tv agp-8x 9550 video card and im having nothing but problems with it.My pc is an acer aspire T135 with on board all in one crap card 80gb hd and 756 ram i have the install disc and loaded a driver off that but dont seem to be able to find any newer ones on the net.Anyway long story short is i try to play a game any game using this new vid card and you play for about a minute then the screen keeps flashing off and on which ive realised each time it does this its lowering all settings [display resolution,hardware exeleration etc]to it gets to a point where the game is unplayable because all the direct draw and 3d is turned off by about the 3rd refresh if you need anymore info please ask and i will edit this post straight away with info if i can thanks in advance|||Power supply or cooling?|||Did you go into the BIOS and set the graphic card to the ATI?|||The HIS 9550 is a slow budget card (4 pixel pipelines/250mhz core/400mhz v-ram.
You are probably trying to play at high resolution and high quality game settings that is why the card is resetting to get better frame rates.
Try setting in game options the lowest quality. Start at low display resolution. Try 16bit color quality instead of 32bit.

64bit Vista video card problem?
When it comes to computers im pretty savvy but this has me stumped, I recently partitioned my HD to be able to install windows vista ultimate (64bit) after my windows xp. This installation worked flawlessly but vista just does not want to recognize my video card, I now dont have access to aero, and when I try updating the drivers they say Im running the uninstaller on a 64 bit when it should be 32, so I tried and downloaded the vista 32bit driver but that just reversed the saying of the message recieved earlier. I just need to know how to get vista to recognize this card (EVGA 8800gts G92) and if the drivers used on my first OS (XP) are interferring with this installation?|||could be interfring i wouldrun belarc to see the specs and go form there, how about shutting it down and reinstalling it manually! sure its hooked up good?
