Help with my video card problems?

if my computer only accepts PCI video cards, and i put an AGP card in it, will it burn my computer?

even though i didnt install the agp card in it. please help!|||It could possibly cause a short on your motherboard. But if it boots up then you should be fine. The technology is different so you won't be able to see anything let alone let the computer install the hardware.

I would go back and get the right card.|||you have to change mother board for that?buy a board which have these slots|||Your PC must first have an AGP slot before you install it as it won't fit any other type of socket ie. PCI-E or PCI, only AGP. So no, it won't burn your PC because you won't be able to fit it in. However, if you do have this slot by all means use it as it's faster than PCI.
