Ok, i just bought the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 PCI video card and i installed it on my computer and everything. I have an EMachines T2893 computer, everything standard. So here's my story, after installing the card and the drivers and everything that came with it, i disabled the onboard graphics card, rebooted it then connected the VGA Monitor cable to the card and it shows up with half a black screen and half of a yellow screen. if anyone can give me the steps to fix this i will really appreciate it.|||Hi there! Did you install the drivers before or after the installation of the video card? Did the new video card work before the onboard video was disabled? Also, double check on the "tightness" of the newly installed card. Make sure that it is fully inserted into the PCI slot with all connectors touching to the PCI slot. Also, make sure it is screwed in securely with no loose movements. If you installed drivers after the card was installed, install them before.
