Video card PROBLEM HUGE PROBLEM?

it is making a buzzing noise when it turns on. I am planning on getting a new video card anyways in about a month. but my concern is that if this video card fan has something happen to it, then it is going to cascade and then the next thing i know, my entire computer is broken.

do computers have safety mechanisms in place so that if a part like the video card fan breaks then it wont screw up my whole computer?|||Make sure it's nothing easily fixable like a wire rubbing against the fan.

If the fan goes, your video card will overheat and crash the system. It won't damage the other components, however.|||you're computer will be fine, it the card breaks run your computer in VGA graphics and you'll still be able to use it, it will just not run anything even vaguely graphically demanding, but its just a fan after all, you would need to replace it straight away if it does break because you'll more than likely burn out your card, but they're pretty weak little things, its like breaking a nail and assuming that you're going to break a bone because of it.|||if it breaks then the rest of the computer will be fine|||If your video card gets damaged then dont worry, ur PC will still be alright. You will just need 2 replace it.
