Video Card Problem!!?

I'm having problems with my video card it just stopped working the other day,but other than that it was working fine,when i turn on my comp there's no pic on the screen i tested the monitor and it works so can anyone help me please??|||buy a new vid card

Tell them as much possible information about your computer and the video card.|||To be sure it is the video card and not the monitor -



Plug the monitor into another PC to prove that.



Check the cable is fully inserted in the Video Card plug



Check to make sure the card is inserted in the slot of the pc fully - they can work loose with heat etc.



Do all the above with pc OFF of course.



If you prove the monitor then replace the video card.

If you still have a problem , then your mainboard has a problem.|||The simplest way to do this without replacing something unneccessarily is to try the monitor as well as the video card on another computer. If the monitor works on another computer, see if you can locate another computer that your video card will fit in. This way you can eliminate the monitor or the video card as the issue. The monitor works but the video card doesn't, replace it. If the video card works in another system, you're definetly going to need to replace your motherboard.|||Open your PC, be sure that your video card have:



- A fan

- Sufficient Power supply

- The right video card driver

- Compatible to your PC

- Model of your video card

- Handled when packaging



If any of this is bad have it replaced by costumer service.|||OK, first of all, how did you "test" the monitor? If you just see the green colored light, it isn't a sure sign that the monitor is working correctly. If it's colored orange, this means nothing is supplying signals to the monitor. This means either the video card is broken or the connection between the video card to the monitor has been broken.



Also, when a video card isn't working correctly, your computer should produce repeated sounds when it is turned on, if it doesn't, then more than likely it's working correctly and you need to check other problems, such as cabling.
