hello i have a ATI RADEON 8500LE video card when i try to install the drivers it says i need a standard vga driver where can i get one i had given up on finding one so i downloaded a driver called omega driver which installed fine there is only one problem it says it's not singed by Microsoft and it wont enable any direct x stuff like 3d accelerator so i can't run pc games how do i get it signed so i can enable direct x so i can play pc games the os im using is windows xp sp3 if you have any instructions on how to install the real driver for my card i'll try to use those ill use anything that will make my card play pc games and is signed and if you know where to download this standerd vga thing please tell me thx|||1. standard vga thing is default drivers of the operating system.
2. if it is saying you've to install standard vga thingy first, then enter safe mode, uninstall all ati stuff you have in your os, including all drivers.
3.reboot to normal, again do cleanup of vga drivers, then xp will say it found a new vga card and it is installing "standard vga thingy" :-)
4. then install drivers from your ati cd which came with card.
5. if this doesn't work, best way is to reinstall xp and start from scratch.
