Video card problems need help?

hello i just bought thea fx 5500 AGP

the problem is it won't let install the driver for it

i'm plug in to it right now the drivers won't work

and windows did not detect the card???



plz help|||Check to see if the card is compatible with your motherboard.|||Are you saying that you installed the card into your computer, turned it on, put a CD with driver in, the installation program started and it gave you a message that no compatible products installed?

You might try to download a fresh driver from www.nvidia.com .

Also check what a videocard your computer thinks you have now. In windows XP or 2000 you can right-click My Computer, select Properties --> Hardware tab --> Device Manager; Check what you have there under Display Adapters.



Uninstall what you have there (right-click --> uninstall), restart your computer, say cancel when Windows finds new devices and run the driver you downloaded from Nvidia or from the CD
