Ok i have an Alienware Laptop M15X. I have just recently had problems playing games... i can play the games but they are all running very choppy even on low setting... all my games.. WoW i could play at ultra.. now have to play on low... Dragon Age.... before was great no lag... now is stuttering everywhere..... even Civ5....same problems.. so i know its not a specific game... now its a hardware problem... and im not all knowing about m laptop and its VC is NVIDIA GeFORCE GT 240M.... Its about a Year and a half old...... so if someone could help me out .. if i need a new VC or is it a problem somewhere else like processors..."hope not"......|||try redownloading and reinstallin your nvidia drivers.
note: before uninstalling your current video drivers, make sure you delete the nvidia folder in c: nvida
and also, try cleaning your pc (start> program> accessories> system tools> disk cleanup)
and run a virus scan
and then do a disk defragment (start> program> accessories> system tools> disk defragment)
and if you want, you can use a third party software that can do a registry clean
personal recommendations are advanced system care and ccleaner
now, your la.p.top should be running good as new. if it fails to fix the problem, then yeah, it's hardware and get you laptop to alienware and have it fixed|||I have no idea about this topic........
