Video Card Problems, Pc restarting?

Here is what I am currently running:

Mobo - Asus k8s-mx

- Seagate Baracuda HD 80GB

- 2 gb ram

- Old video card sapphire atlantis 9600

- New video card nvidia geforce fx 5500

- 500w max power supply

Here is the problem. I recently switched video cards and am having problems getting the new one to work. They are both agp cards. After installing the new card I can load windows for maybe a minute then the screen flashes in and out a couple times then the pc restarts. I have disabled the automatic restart on error, but it restarts anyways. Other times the windows logo will splash and the pc will restart before windows is loaded. I do not know if the card could be overheating for some reason, or if it could be my motherboard slot malfunctioning (doubtful because old card worked.) To make the problem even more confusing the new nvidia card worked in another computer just fine. I am running out of options. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.|||Start in safe mode.

Download drivers

Install drivers.

Reboot

Now you can start in normal mode|||Have you checked what power supply the video card, sometimes that can cause your computer to chuck the shits lol, or start in safe and try again , your last resort is yeh you probly did break it lol. i strongly rekonmed takin it to ur computer shop and gettin it fixed there
