The video card for my computer broke so my friend gave me a new one, but when i put it in it sais i need the driver information, well he doesnt have any cd for it, so what im asking is there any way to get the driver information and install this thing without a cd?|||Get it from the card mfgs site|||Check the name of the card (Brand name) and model of the card. Then go to the website of the manufacturer and download.
If you are unable to do that you can see the name of the card when you start up your computer (at the time of POST), just note the name of the display card. You can press pause button if you cannot not note fast.
Good luck.|||you can download the drivers from the manufacturer's website. simple install and reboot and your set, resolution will look fine and everything will be in proportion.|||yes there is a way...on the video card there is a manufacturer name and model number...go to your add hardware like u would to add any new hardware then go to manual install...it will give u a list of all drivers for hardware,,,all u need to do is find the one your friend gave u,,and clik on it...the driver will be installed from the program...now keep in mind,,,just because the name of the video card is not the exact same on the driver choices doesnt mean it wont work,,,sometimes u need to check different models for the manufacturer,,,,if these thing dont work driver,com has a load of drivers...or go to the manufacturer web site and download it from there....but tue name and model number of the video card will be on the card somewhere,,,I hope this helps,,
