1 long beep and then 3 quick short beeps when i turn on my new pc=Video card problem?

I just received my new computer and it boots up and after a minute theres one long beep followed by 3 quick beeps. The cpu fan and also the video card's fan or heatsink are turning. But nothing happens on the monitor.Nothing appears on the screen. There is no sign on the screen saying "no signal"...the screen is just black.Btw i did not purchase windows with my new pc cuz i have one at home.I researched this problem on google with the one long beep and then 3 beeps problem and it sais its a video problem. But the graphics card's fan is turning.Or maybe it can be a ram problem? The components are core 2 duo e6600,2gb ddr2 667 Kingston,ASUS p5n-e sli motherboard,ASUS ATI Radeon X1950pro and 600Watt OCZ power supply.Plz Help!Tnx.|||Hi armo_raid3r,

I think it is a video problem from your description and the error code.

Try taking the video card out and re-seating it. Even though the fan is turning you may have a poor contact on it somewhere.

Disconnect and reconnect your monitor.

Good luck,

Norm|||this signifies a memory problem! Have you just added memory or changed some? try inserting the Ram one stick at a time so you can work out which is faulty!

It might just be that a stick of ram has come unseated in which case just push back down and clip into place!
