PC game is slow - is it a problem with my ram or video card?

Here's my laptop specification:

Dell Inspiron 1318

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core T2390 - 1.86GHz/533Mhz FSB/1MB cache

Memory: 3GB ram

Video card: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

I am trying to play Silent Hill 5 on my laptop. The game is playable but it's slow and choppy and control is not really that responsive. I don't know if it's the cpu or video card problem....

Thanks!|||As always, your PC must meet or exceed the video Game's minimum hardware requirements. See below:

Yours doesn't, because most budget laptops are not built for high-end gaming. The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 is OK for watching Videos, but NOT for modern gaming.

And, no, you can't upgrade low-end laptop graphics chips. So, start saving your pennies for a GAMING LAPTOP, it should easily cost 3 times what you paid for your "portable DVD player", sorry.|||It's a whole computer problem. You have a low-end CPU and integrated graphics. You have plenty of RAM already, adding more won't help you.|||Video card.

Is there anything you can do about it?

No.

You should always use desktop pcs for gaming.|||video card
