Need for Speed Carbon computer/video card problem. HELP!?

I own Need for Speed Carbon for PC. When i play it, little bright green and purple squares and splotches scatter everywhere around the screen during game play. Its really annoying cause i can hardly see anything with the colors flickering everywhere and i cant really play the game. I think it might be the video card but i dont know what to do. Has anyone els had this problem or know anything about what i can do to fix it?? Thanks|||Update your video card drivers.|||Those, if i'm not mistaken are artifacts, primaliry caused by memory issues.
